From our home in the heart of the Roussillon we craft wines from coveted sites. Low yielding, old vineyards, prized for their unique character. – that elusive something different, something more.
That they almost always happen to be beautiful is just another advantage to being rooted in this area. As we adventure, discover and rediscover, we drive, walk, talk and taste, to seek out special sites.
When we find them, we listen to those who know them best. We observe, we work and live with them through the seasons to learn how to tease out those intrinsic qualities to make wine that conveys the essence of the place, the rock, the soil, the light, the air, the season and of course the hard work.
We strive within the natural limits of each place, vineyard and variety. Our aim is to achieve an unforced balance in the wines - a point of maximum vibrancy.
Be that the balance of heady aromatics and rich vivid flavours of Grenache and Carignan, or the more elegant and potentially complex character of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Our challenge in the vineyards and the winery is to capture something of the magic, the wonder and the awe which we feel when we first walk into these very special places. Where the key elements combine in such a unique way to lift its potential out of the ordinary to something extraordinary...
